Data Security

How do we protect your data?

  • We host our servers in secure facilities that observe a number of data security standards, including ISO 27001, SOC 1 & 2, and PCI DSS.
  • Data is stored exclusively within Canada. Multiple geographically separated locations are used.
  • Industry-standard encryption technologies are used to secure your data as it leaves your device. These are the same technologies your bank uses to protect your use of on-line banking.
  • We use a number of industry-standard server security hardening techniques including firewalls, strong encryption key based authentication methods & regular system updates.
  • Our facilities use standard high-security data center operations techniques: physical facility hardening, biometric access controls, mantraps, cameras, backup power generators, on-site 24/7 security, fire suppression systems, etc.
  • Credit card tokenization systems protect the integrity of your credit card data.
  • We work with companies such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, and other major software companies to ensure that encryption cannot be removed when communicating with ReallyTrusted servers.

Who are we?

We're an independent Vancouver-based organization. The business is managed by two brothers: Daniel Dent and Greg Dent.

Daniel Dent is an experienced software developer who also has over 15 years of experience in the web hosting industry. From time-to-time he publishes security research - he is credited with the discovery of security issues in several widely used programs. As a long-time Realtor, Greg Dent launched ReallyTrusted to make regulatory compliance simpler, smarter, and accessible to businesses both small and large. Greg leads program creation and delivery for ReallyTrusted and, in the role, provides leadership and insight into numerous real world compliance questions on an ongoing basis. As a result, Greg has been able to help thousands of professionals meet their anti–money laundering obligations with confidence. Greg is also the host of the Know Your Compliance podcast and a frequent speaker at industry events, where he breaks down complex compliance topics into practical, real-world insights.
